Reward Offered in Theft of Welding Equipment from Local Business

Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of a person or persons who broke into a local business’ warehouse and moved vehicles and stole welding equipment. The incident occurred in the early morning hours of September 22, 2011 at a Vision Communications’ warehouse building in Larose.

On the morning of September 22, Vision Communications reported a burglary and attempted auto theft at their warehouse building on West 9th Street in Larose. Upon arrival, deputies and detectives found that the warehouse had been entered into and three trucks had been moved around. Two of the trucks were found outside the warehouse stuck in muddy grass. The third truck was found still in the warehouse, but it was not in the place where it was left the day prior. Vision Communications reported that welding equipment valued at approximately $2,000 had been stolen from the trucks. Detectives have determined that the incident occurred between 3:00 A.M. and 3:35 A.M. on the morning of September 22nd.
