Reward Being Offered in Shipyard Theft

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the theft of welding leads from a Golden Meadow shipyard.

On Thursday, January 19, detectives responded to Superior Shipyard, 20987 LA Highway 1, in reference to 700 feet of welding leads being stolen from the shop area. Personnel discovered the missing welding leads when they reported for work in the morning.

Detectives are seeking the public’s help in solving this case. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.00 in cash if the information given leads to an arrest.
