Detectives Seeking Suspects in Raceland Shooting

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of two men wanted in connection with a shooting incident which occurred in Raceland shortly after midnight Thursday night.

Detectives made contact with the victim Friday, February 17 at a local hospital. Through investigation, detectives learned the victim had been traveling from the rear of Brocato Lane heading toward LA Highway 308 and stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with Easy Street. While stopped, the victim was approached by two black males, one from either side of the victim’s vehicle. The suspect on the passenger side had a gun and demanded the victim’s cell phone, and the suspect on the driver’s side took the phone from the victim. Then the suspect on the passenger side fired off one round which hit the victim in the left bicep. The victim then sped off from the scene and eventually went to a local hospital for treatment.

Detectives are searching for the two suspects described as young black males (18-20 years old). One was said to be wearing a gold “hoodie” and one had a shaved head.
