Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the persons responsible for a burglary at Sampey Fabrication in Lockport. Based on surveillance photos, detectives are looking for three men who stole aluminum sheets from the Lockport business.

On the morning of Monday, April 2, 2012, workers at Sampey Fabrication arrived to find two sheets of aluminum were missing. The sheets were laid outside the building on the property. In reviewing surveillance photos, detectives observed what appears to be three white male subjects stealing the sheets on the night of Friday, March 30. A surveillance camera also caught the perpetrators’ vehicle which was a tan-colored, single-cab pickup truck pulling a trailer. The truck backed the trailer into the parking lot near the aluminum sheets, and when it stopped, the three men exited the vehicle. Two of the men then loaded the sheets onto the trailer, and all three returned to the vehicle and fled the scene.

Anyone with information about this case, or anyone that recognizes the subjects in the surveillance photo, is asked to contact Bayou Region Crime Stoppers at 1-800-743-7433 or by texting “GIVEATIP” plus your message to 274637. Information can also be submitted online at http://www.crimestoppersbr.org or by using the TipSubmit Mobile application on your iPhone or Android device. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.00 in cash if the information given leads to an arrest.
