Three Arrested, One at Large in String of Bayou Blue Thefts and Burglaries

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reported three individuals have been arrested and one suspect is still at large in a string of thefts and burglaries in the Bayou Blue area in April. Lafourche detectives have arrested Dylan Rogers (W/M, D.O.B. 08/01/92) of 133 Bon Jovi Boulevard in Gray and Cassidy G. Olivier (W/F, D.O.B. 12/16/90) of 100 Cottonwood Drive in Houma. Additionally, Clint E. Chauvin (W/M, D.O.B. 11/05/92) of 131 Wilderness Lane in Houma was arrested in Terrebonne Parish on the warrants from Lafourche. Warrants have also been issued for the arrest of a fourth subject, William Lala (W/M, D.O.B. 05/14/91), whose last known address is 205 Duet Street in Houma.

Through investigation, detectives learned that on one night in April, Chauvin, Rogers, Lala and Olivier allegedly stole gas cans from several Bayou Blue residences. This included three homes on Canal Lane and four homes on Mary and Jennifer Streets in the Oak Grove Subdivision. Detectives also learned that on another night, Chauvin, Rogers and Lala allegedly burglarized one residence and a total of six vehicles in the Bayou Blue area. Among the items taken from the burglaries was a wallet containing cash and a bank card. Detectives learned the three men allegedly used the bank card to purchase various items at several locations in Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes.

Olivier was arrested on Friday, May 11 for Theft over $500.00 and booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center. She was released Saturday, May 12 after posting $10,000.00 bond.

Chauvin and Rogers were both arrested on warrants for Theft over $500.00, Unauthorized Use of an Access Card, Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling, and six (6) counts of Simple Burglary. Since being arrested in Terrebonne Parish, Chauvin remains at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex awaiting transfer to Lafourche. Rogers was arrested Saturday, May 19 and is being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in lieu of $130,000.00 bond. Lala is still at large and faces the same charges as Chauvin and Rogers.
