Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reported two anonymous tips led to the arrest of three suspects wanted in connection to two separate incidents. Both tips were received through Bayou Region Crime Stoppers.
On Tuesday, May 29, deputies with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriffs Office arrested William Lala (W/M, D.O.B. 05/14/91) of 205 Duet Street in Houma after his location was provided by an anonymous tipster. Lala was wanted in connection with a string of thefts and burglaries in the Bayou Blue area in April and had active Lafourche Parish warrants totaling $130,000.00. Previously arrested in connection to these incidents were Dylan Rogers (W/M, D.O.B. 08/01/92) of 133 Bon Jovi Boulevard in Gray, Cassidy G. Olivier (W/F, D.O.B. 12/16/90) of 100 Cottonwood Drive in Houma, and Clint E. Chauvin (W/M, D.O.B. 11/05/92) of 131 Wilderness Lane in Houma.
Lala, Chauvin, and Rogers are each charged with Theft over $500.00, Unauthorized Use of an Access Card, Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling, and six (6) counts of Simple Burglary. Olivier was charged with one count of Theft over $500.00. Lala remains at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex awaiting transfer to Lafourche where he will be booked and held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in lieu of $130,000.00 bond.
JOHN CROSS & JENNIFER CROSS:
Detectives arrested John Cross (W/M, D.O.B. 06/10/79) and Jennifer Cross (W/F, D.O.B. 09/05/79), both of 1300 Ridgefield Avenue in Thibodaux, on Wednesday, May 30 for the burglary of a Des Allemands business earlier this month. The two were arrested after an anonymous tipster identified the couple from photos released to the public last week. The incident occurred at an adult novelty shop located on U.S. Highway 90 sometime between the late night hours of Tuesday, May 15 and the early morning hours of Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Detectives were able to recover the items stolen from the business.
Both John & Jennifer Cross were transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux and booked on the charge of Simple Burglary. John Cross is being held in lieu of $15,000.00 bond as set by warrant, and Jennifer Cross has been released after posting her $10,000.00 bond.
