Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information on the whereabouts of a 19-year-old male suspect wanted for attempted murder. Donovan Queen (B/M, D.O.B. 03-17-93) is wanted for attempted second degree murder, second degree battery, aggravated burglary and aggravated simple criminal damage to property in relation to an incident that occurred Friday night in Thibodaux. The combined total bond amount of the arrest warrants is $505,000. Queen is believed to be staying somewhere in the Thibodaux or Houma area.
At around 8 p.m. on Friday, February 9, deputies responded to a call of a shooting on Paula Drive in Thibodaux. Upon arrival, deputies learned Queen had been arguing with a woman when he allegedly physically attacked her and shot her in the foot. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where she was treated and subsequently released.
Through investigation at the scene, detectives learned Queen had been arguing with the female victim at the residence when he allegedly grabbed her by the neck and struck her twice in the face with his fist. Another male at the residence forced Queen outside of the home telling him to leave and not return. The female victim appeared in the doorway of the residence, and Queen allegedly pulled out a gun and shot at the female, striking her once in the right foot and striking the residence twice. Detectives learned Queen then re-entered the residence, located the victim, and allegedly pointed the gun at her and pulled the trigger, but the weapon misfired. Queen then ran out of the residence and fled the scene on foot.
