Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reported narcotics agents arrested two people on drug charges this week, including a New Iberia man and a Raceland woman with active warrants. Jaime Landry (W/F, D.O.B. 07/31/78) was arrested on warrants at her residence at 115 Magnolia Drive in Raceland. Skylor Theriot (W/M, D.O.B. 07/16/84) was also arrested after he was found with Landry and in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
On Monday afternoon, agents of the Lafourche Parish Drug Task Force traveled to Magnolia Drive in Raceland attempting to locate Landry at her residence due to three active warrants, including two for principle to distribution of methamphetamine and one for contempt of court. Upon arrival, agents noticed a truck parked in the driveway with multiple occupants inside who appeared to move around hastily after noticing agents were present. Agents approached the vehicle and identified all the occupants. Landry was sitting in the back seat and was eventually taken into custody. Another occupant was identified as Skylor Theriot, and he appeared to be extremely nervous. During a search of his person, agents discovered Theriot to have approximately three grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Both Theriot and Landry were placed under arrest and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux. Landry was booked on warrants for two counts of principle to distribution of methamphetamine and one count of contempt of court. She was released Tuesday night after posting $30,100 bond as had been set by the warrants. Theriot was booked with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He remains in jail in lieu of $5,250 bond as set by Judge Walter Lanier III.
