At around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, deputies responded to the Thibodaux are in reference to a break-in at a residence on Paula Drive. The homeowner and her two children had taken refuge in a shed outside the residence after calling 911 when they heard a loud banging at the front door followed by the sound of broken glass. When deputies arrived, they searched the home and discovered a male subject, later identified as Arguijo Rodriguez (H/M, D.O.B. 09/07/94) of Thibodaux, in the living room, and he was immediately taken into custody. Deputies discovered Rodriguez had allegedly broken a front glass window in order to gain entry into the home. Rodriguez was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center where he was booked with unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and felony simple criminal damage to property. He is being held in lieu of $51,000 bond as set by Judge Jerome J. Barbera III.
At around 2pm on Sunday, deputies responded to Robichaux Street in Raceland in reference to a shotgun being stolen from a residence. Deputies learned the gun owner had given Damien Hebert (W/M, D.O.B. 11/07/78) access to his home while he was away, and the owner returned to find the shotgun missing. Deputies made contact with Hebert who admitting to stealing the firearm and selling it to a pawn shop along with a firearm that he owned himself. Hebert was arrested and charged with theft of a firearm, and due to a previous felony drug conviction, Hebert was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is being held at the Detention Center in lieu of $50,000 bond as set by Judge Barbera.
On Sunday, Randy Easter (W/M, D.O.B. 07/19/63) of 193 Orange Street in Cut Off was returned to Louisiana following his March 29 arrest in Las Vegas, Nevada, after an anonymous tip provided authorities with his location. Easter had two warrants for his arrest for contempt of court after he failed to appear for a pre-trial hearing on March 18 for a DWI (4th offense) from 2011 and a charged of communicating false information of planned arson from January 2013. Upon his return to Louisiana on Sunday, he was booked as per the warrants, and he was also booked with two counts of out of state bail-jumping. He is now being held in lieu of $250,000 bond.
