Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reported the arrest of two men after agents discovered them with drugs and firearms at a Raceland residence. Javiri Bradley (B/M, D.O.B. 04/03/81) of 173 Fontinelle Street in Lockport and Jeremiah Lyons (B/M, D.O.B. 11/6/85) of 3722 Highway 1 (Lot 2) in Raceland were arrested Tuesday and face drug and weapons charges following the incident.
On the afternoon of Tuesday, April 16, deputies were dispatched to a mobile home on Williams Street after learning marijuana had been seen at the residence. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Bradley and Lyons to be sitting outside, and they were detained. Lyons was found to have over $2,800 cash in his possession.
Lafourche Parish Drug Task Force Agents arrived on scene to assist. Through investigation, agents learned the property belonged to one of Lyons relatives. During a search of the mobile home, agents discovered approximately 460 grams of marijuana, some of which was packaged in small amounts, consistent with being prepared for distribution. They also discovered over 7.5 grams of suspected crack cocaine, two bottles of suspected liquid Promethazine/Codeine, and various drug paraphernalia. Agents also recovered three handguns, including a fully loaded revolver. The street value of all the drugs seized was over $3,000.
Both Bradley and Lyons were charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and crack cocaine, possession of codeine and drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance. Bradley was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and he is being held in lieu of $165,250 bond as set by Judge Jerome J. Barbera III. Lyons, meanwhile, is being held in lieu of $65,250 bond. Both men are also being held for the Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole.
