Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reported the arrest of a Thibodaux man for a residential burglary after detectives found a stolen safe under his bed. Detectives arrested Seth Falgout (W//M, D.O.B. 02/16/90) of 653 Waverly Road in Thibodaux on Tuesday following an investigation.
At around 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, detectives responded to Waverly Road in reference to a residential burglary. Upon arrival, detectives learned a safe containing cash and paperwork was the only item missing at the residence, although items had been moved around in multiple rooms of the home. Upon interviewing the victims at the residence, Seth Falgout became a person of interest in the investigation. Detectives proceeded to Falgouts residence and asked to search his bedroom. Falgout voluntarily consented to the search, and detectives discovered an open safe under Falgouts bed which contained paperwork belonging to the victim. Detectives also found a large portion of the missing cash inside Falgouts residence.
Falgout was arrested and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux. He was booked with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and is being held on $35,000 bond as set by Judge Walter Lanier III.
