Reward Offered to Help Identify Suspect in Vehicle Burglary

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for helping to identify a suspect responsible for a vehicle burglary which occurred outside a Thibodaux store earlier this month.

On June 6, deputies responded to a complaint of a vehicle burglary which had occurred in the parking lot of the Dollar General store located at 1076 Highway 1 in Thibodaux. Upon arrival, deputies learned someone had stolen a purse from the back seat of a sport-utility vehicle while the vehicle owner was inside the store. Through investigation, detectives developed a description of a suspect and a surveillance photo was obtained.

Detectives are asking anyone that can identify the suspect in the photo, or anyone with information on this case, to contact Bayou Region Crime Stoppers at 1-800-743-7433 or by texting “GIVEATIP” plus your message to 274637. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.00 in cash if the information given leads to an arrest. Tips can also be submitted using the TipSubmit Mobile application or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org or via the “Submit a Tip” tab on the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office official Facebook Page.
