Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced the combined results of two checkpoints held in Lafourche Parish on Thursday resulted in four arrests as well as a number of citations for various violations. A seat belt checkpoint was conducted from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on LA Highway 182 near the Highway 90 overpass in Raceland. A DWI checkpoint was then held from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Friday morning on LA Highway 316 near St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue.
A combined total of 2,050 cars passed through the checkpoints. During the course of the checkpoints, deputies made the following arrests:
– Jake Stacy (W/M, D.O.B. 07/01/87) of 3594 Friendswood Drive, Apt. 33, in Houma was charged with DWI, possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and (PROPER EQUIPMENT).
– Kyle Cedotal (W/M, D.O.B. 10/02/85) of 210 Oakshire Drive in Houma was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Cedotal was a passenger in Stacys vehicle.
– Keith Sullivan (W/M, D.O.B. 02/22/57) of 209 Mahler Street in Houma was charged with DWI (2nd offense).
– Bobbie McDaniel III (W/M, D.O.B. 09/04/74) of 1239 Coteau Road in Houma was charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia, as well as expired motor vehicle inspection.
Additionally, deputies cited drivers for 30 motor vehicle inspection violations, as well as a number of other offenses related to drivers licenses, seat belts, child restraints and insurance.
