Public Asked to Help Identify Suspects in Shipyard Theft

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of two male subjects who recently stole welding leads from a shipyard.

Detectives recently obtained photos of the suspects involved in the theft which occurred sometime in the past month at St. Charles Shipyard, located near the St. Charles Community just south of Thibodaux. Detectives believe the suspects may have parked behind a barge located on the site. One of the subjects has tattoos on the back of his neck and his left hand.

Anyone who can identify the subjects in the photos, or anyone with information on this case, is asked to contact Bayou Region Crime Stoppers at 1-800-743-7433 or by texting “GIVEATIP” plus your message to 274637. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.00 in cash if the information given leads to an arrest. Tips can also be submitted using the TipSubmit Mobile application or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org or via the “Submit a Tip” tab on the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office official Facebook Page.
