Detectives Investigating Burglaries on the Raceland Prairie

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for a series of vehicle burglaries at residences along neighborhood streets just off LA Highway 653 in Raceland.

On Tuesday morning, deputies responded to the area of the Raceland Prairie in reference to reports of vehicle burglaries in the area. At least five vehicles on Magnolia Street, Azalea Street and Crest Road were reported as burglarized after owners discovered missing items from vehicles. Detectives have obtained surveillance photos of a suspect in this case.

Investigators are asking anyone who can identify the suspect, or anyone with information on this case, to contact Bayou Region Crime Stoppers at 1-800-743-7433 or by texting “GIVEATIP” plus your message to 274637. Tips can also be submitted using the TipSubmit Mobile application or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org or via the “Submit a Tip” tab on the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office official Facebook Page. Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.00 in cash if the information given leads to an arrest.

Residents living around the LA Highway 653 area are asked to check their vehicles and property for signs of burglary or attempted burglary and report any findings immediately by contacting detectives of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at (985) 532-4320.
