Agents Seize Car, Drugs and Cash in Arrest of Two Fugitives

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced agents seized a car, drugs and cash in the arrest of two fugitives now facing additional charges. Calvin Robertson Jr. (30, B/M) and Jenna Toups (26, W/F), both of Raceland, were arrested Thursday at a Raceland residence.

On Thursday, September 18, Lafourche Parish Drug Task Force Agents learned through investigation that Robertson and Toups were located at a residence on Danos Street in Raceland. Toups had two active warrants for Distribution of Methamphetamine, and Robertson had an active warrant for Second Degree Battery following an incident earlier this year wherein he allegedly struck a relative on the head with a handgun.

Agents proceeded to the address, and made contact with Robertson and Toups, and they were taken into custody per the active warrants. When asked whether any illegal items were in the room, Toups told agents she had a pipe in her purse, which agents then recovered. Agents discovered the pipe contained a small amount of suspected methamphetamine. As he was being taken into custody, Robertson attempted to reach for a pair of pants. Inside the pockets of those pants, agents discovered several small plastic bags, two containing suspected cocaine, one containing suspected crack cocaine, one containing suspected heroin, and another containing suspected marijuana, as well as $692 in cash. Agents conducted presumptive field tests on the cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine, all of which yielded positive results.

Approximately 4.8 grams of cocaine and 2.9 grams of crack cocaine were recovered with a total street value of $770. The combined value of all drugs and cash seized was $1,662. Agents also seized a 2008 Mercedes-Benz coupe believed to have been used in the sale of illegal narcotics.

Both Robertson and Toups were transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux. Robertson was booked per the warrant for Second Degree Battery, and he is also charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession of Heroin, and Possession of Marijuana. He is being held in lieu of $38,500 bond as set by Judge Ashly Bruce Simpson, and he is also being held for Louisiana Probation and Parole. Toups was booked per the warrants for Distribution of Methamphetamine, and she is also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She is being held in lieu of $23,500 as set by Judge Simpson.
