New Orleans Man Arrested for Stabbing a Man in Choctaw

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a New Orleans man was arrested Sunday after stabbing a man in Choctaw. Sean Clements (49, B/M) admitted to his involvement in the incident during questioning.

Just after noon on Sunday, April 19, deputies responded to an incident which had taken place at a residence in the 300 block of Choctaw Road. They discovered a man with lacerations and puncture wounds who indicated he had been stabbed by Sean Clements. The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for the wounds but left the hospital prior to receiving full treatment.

Detectives responded and learned through investigation that the two men were engaged in a heated verbal altercation, and at one point, Clements allegedly attacked the victim, striking him multiple times with a knife. Detectives learned Clements had an outstanding warrant for Contempt of Court related to child support payments. They made contact with him and questioned him about the incident. During questioning, Clements admitted to the attack and provided detectives with the knife he had used.

Clements was arrested and booked with Aggravated Second Degree Battery and on the outstanding warrant. He is currently being held in lieu of $26,000 bond as set by Judge Christopher J. Boudreaux and the warrant.
