Agents Arrest Thibodaux Brothers During Multi-Agency Operation

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of two brothers in Thibodaux on weapons and drug charges. Brothers Torrez “Toe” Drane (23, B/M) and Tevin Drane (24, B/M) were arrested during a multi-agency operation in the Thibodaux area.

On Wednesday, June 17, agents with the Lafourche Parish Drug Task Force, Thibodaux Police Department, and the Terrebonne Parish Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at Torrez Drane’s apartment in the 200 block of Erwin Drive in Thibodaux. Torrez Drane had four outstanding warrants for Distribution of Marijuana, and he was immediately taken into custody after agents and officers arrived on site. An agent confiscated his phone, and Drane attempted to grab his cell phone from an agent by force, and caused several abrasions to the agent’s arm with his fingernails. During a subsequent search of his apartment, agents discovered approximately 12 ounces of suspected high-grade marijuana, over $1,000 in cash, a handgun, and drug paraphernalia. The total street value of drugs and cash seized totaled over $8,000.

Agents knew Torrez Drane also frequented the apartment of his brother, Tevin Drane. They made contact with Tevin Drane and obtained consent to search his apartment where they found a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun which was later determined to have been reported stolen. Both Drane brothers were arrested and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux.

Torrez Drane was booked per the warrants, and he was also booked with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Illegal Carrying of a Weapon in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Battery of a Police Officer. He is being held in lieu of $116,000 bond as set by Judge Christopher J. Boudreaux and the warrants.

Tevin Drane was booked with Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on Friday morning after posting $31,000 bond as set by Judge Boudreaux.
