At around 7 p.m. on Friday, December 25, deputies made contact with a male subject riding a bicycle without any lights near the intersection of Lee Drive and Talbot Avenue. Deputies identified the man as Henry Brown (age 44) of Thibodaux and learned he had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest. Brown was wanted for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, Possession of Marijuana, and five counts of Contempt of Court. He also has outstanding warrants in Assumption Parish for charges including Theft, Criminal Trespassing and resisting arrest. Brown was arrested and booked in to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux where he is being held in lieu of $63,750 bond, and he has been ordered to pay $423 in fines and costs. He is also being held for Assumption Parish.
TREISTON PIERRON & CHRISTOPHER POINCOT:
At around 4:30 p.m. on December 26, a fire alarm was activated at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux. Through investigation, correctional officers learned Inmate Treiston Pierron allegedly used a light fixture to set a small piece of material on fire. Inmate Pierron then handed the lit material to Inmate Christopher Poincot who allegedly set some paper and a blanket ablaze. Shortly thereafter, Inmate Poincot began tampering with a plumbing fixture to purposely flood his cell, and the water extinguished the fire. Both inmates were charged with Aggravated Arson. Inmate Pierron’s total bond is now set at $350,000. Inmate Poincot was additionally charged with Criminal Mischief (Tampering with Property) and is now being held in lieu of $78,300 bond.
Shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, as deputies traveling on Talbot Avenue in Thibodaux were approaching an intersection, they noticed a white sport-utility vehicle in front of them quickly turn into a parking lot. Deputies believed the maneuver to be evasive in nature, and conducted a database check of the vehicle. Deputies learned the vehicle was currently listed as having been reported stolen. Deputies made contact with the driver and identified him as Brandon Frank (age 28) of Houma who had an active warrant for Theft of a Motor Vehicle stemming from an incident on December 11, 2015. Frank was placed under arrest and transported to the Detention Center where he was booked on the aforementioned warrant. He is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond. The vehicle was returned to the owner following Frank’s arrest.
At around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 27, deputies traveling in the area of Lacroix Drive in Bayou Blue were flagged down by a man reporting an attempted robbery. The man indicated Josh Grant (age 18) of Bayou Blue, who was still on scene, had entered the man’s vehicle, demanded money and threatened him with violence. Deputies then questioned Grant about the incident, but Grant fled on foot. Deputies pursued but eventually lost sight of Grant. After completing the investigation, deputies later learned Grant was at a relative’s home, and he was taken into custody. Grant was transported to the Detention Center and booked with Attempted Simple Robbery and Resisting an Officer. He is being held in lieu of $5,500 bond.
