Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of two suspects wanted in connection to a shoplifting case at a Raceland department store. At around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, deputies responded to the department store in reference to a shoplifting complaint. Through investigation, deputies discovered an unknown male subject had left the store with two ceiling fans without paying for the items. The suspect then loaded the fans into a two-toned black and gold sport-utility vehicle, believed to be a Ford Explorer, which was being driven by another unknown male subject. Surveillance cameras captured an image of one of the suspects.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in solving this crime. Anyone who may be able to identify the suspect, or anyone with any knowledge of this crime, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Bayou Region at 1-800-743-7433 or by texting “GIVEATIP” plus your message to 274637.
