Galliano Fugitive Found with Methamphetamine and Other Drugs Upon Arrest

Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of Lacy Nelson (age 35) of Galliano on Tuesday, July 5. Agents of the Lafourche Parish Drug Task Force received intel on Nelson’s location at a residence on West 138th Street in Galliano. Nelson was wanted due to active contempt of court warrants, as well as a warrant for Louisiana Probation and Parole, and agents had received complaints from concerned citizens about possible drug activity at the residence. Task Force Agents, as well as Probation and Parole Agents, proceeded to the location, located Nelson at the residence, and she was taken into custody without incident. Agents found Nelson to be in possession of approximately four (4) grams of suspected methamphetamine, as well as small amounts of cocaine, Xanax, and Hydrocodone and drug paraphernalia. She was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux where she was booked on two active contempt warrants, as well as Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Possession of Cocaine, Xanax, Hydrocodone, and Drug Paraphernalia. She is being held in lieu of $85,500 bond, and she is also being held for Louisiana Probation and Parole.
