Agents Find Drugs and a Firearm During Arrest of Cut Off Man Wanted for Meth Distribution

Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of Devan Day (age 19) of Cut Off on Tuesday, August 2. Following an investigation by the Lafourche Parish Drug Task Force, agents obtained a warrant for the arrest of Devan Day for Distribution of Methamphetamine, as well as a search warrant for his Cut Off residence. At around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, agents made contact with Day at his residence, and he was immediately taken into custody. During the search of the residence, agents located small amounts of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana, as well as seven (7) clonazepam pills, five (5) hydrocodone pills, assorted drug paraphernalia, and a handgun. During questioning, Day admitted to ownership of the items. He was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux where he was booked on the aforementioned warrant. He was also booked with Possession of Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Clonazepam, Hydrocodone, and Drug Paraphernalia, as well as Illegal Carrying of a Weapon in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. His bond is set at $37,000.
