Sheriff Craig Webre announced Ronnie Spano Jr. (age 28) of Larose was arrested for Third Degree Rape of a teenager on Friday, August 26. An investigation began after the mother of a teenage girl reported the rape of her daughter. Detectives learned her daughter was at a friend’s residence when she began consuming alcohol. Spano was at the residence, and after the girl had become intoxicated, Spano allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with the female. During questioning, Spano admitted to having sexual contact with the victim. He was arrested and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux where he was booked with Third Degree Rape. His bond is set at $150,000, and he has been ordered to stay away from the victim.
