Two Arrested for Stealing from Thibodaux Business

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced two people have been arrested cfor stealing from a Thibodaux business. Tommy Richard Jr. (age 24) and Sonny Keplinger (age 24), both of Schriever, were arrested on Tuesday, April 18.

On Monday, April 17, deputies responded to a place of business on Burma Road in Thibodaux in reference to items being stolen. Upon reviewing video surveillance footage, deputies discovered that on Thursday, April 13, two subjects identified as Richard and Keplinger stole several items from the business which had a total value of nearly $3,000. Following the investigation, deputies obtained arrest warrants for both Richard and Keplinger for Unauthorized Entry of a Place of Business and Felony Theft of Goods.

Keplinger and Richard were both arrested Tuesday in Terrebonne Parish. Richard was transferred to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center later that day. He was booked on the aforementioned warrants, and he was also booked on an outstanding warrant for Contempt of court. His bond is set at $9,000. Keplinger also faced an additional Contempt of Court charge in Terrebonne Parish. She remained there until posting bond on charges for both parishes on Thursday, April 20.
