Detectives Seek to Identify Persons of Interest in Credit Card Theft

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons wanted in reference to the unauthorized use of a credit card.

In November 2017, detectives opened an investigation after a woman reported having a lost or stolen credit card. Detectives learned the card was being used without authorization. Through investigation, detectives found charges had been made at locations in Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes.

Over the next few months, detectives collected surveillance footage from locations the card had been used. Detectives questioned a possible suspect in reference to the crime, but have been unable to properly identify anyone from surveillance videos.

Investigators are now seeking the public’s help two identify two women featured in one of the surveillance videos who are considered persons of interest in the investigation. Anyone who can identify either or both of the women is asked to submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers Bayou Region by phone at 1-800-743-7433 or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org. Tips can also be submitted using the P3 Tips app on your mobile device. Tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 in cash if the information leads to an arrest.
