Reward Offered in Investigation into Death of a Bull

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest of the person or persons responsible for the death of a bull in the Cut Off area last month.

On December 27, 2018, deputies responded to an area just off LA Highway 3235 near West 54th Street in Cut Off reference to a bull being found dead by the owner. The bull was located in a pasture outside the South Lafourche Levee system. It was found to have suffered a small wound near its ribs, and the cause of the wound is unknown to investigators at this time. The owner reportedly heard several gunshots in the area on December 24, 2018, but no projectile was recovered from the animal. The bull was valued at several thousand dollars.
