CANDLELIGHT VIGIL ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21
We want to invite everyone to join us on Tuesday, October 21 at 6pm as we remember the victims and honor the survivors of Domestic Violence during a Candlelight Vigil at the Lafourche Central Market (4484 Highway 1, Raceland). Tuesday, October 21 will be "Paint the Parish Purple Day" in Lafourche Parish. Wear purple all month long, but especially on this date as we take a stand against Domestic Violence.

WHY PURPLE?
The color purple represents the courage, survival, honor and dedication to ending domestic violence.  It has a long history of being used as a symbol for seeking justice. The display of purple throughout our parish conveys the powerful message that there is no place for domestic violence in our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, or schools.
