Sheriff Webre’s Summer Camp

Next Camp: June 16-20, 2008

Requirements:

  • Child 11 – 13 years of age

  • Parental Permission

  • Resident of Lafourche Parish

  • Good standing within the community and school

Introduction – Sheriff Webre’s Summer Camp provides a fun summer activity to deserving youths throughout Lafourche Parish.  The campers leave on a Monday morning and return on Friday.  During the week, the campers participate in many different activities including sports events, dances, camp fear factor, movie night, and swimming.  The campers are divided into teams of 7 campers with an advisor.  Adult advisors are deputies with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office whose job is to interact with young people.  Most of these deputies are D.A.R.E. Officers or School Resource Officers.  The LPSO Explorer POST 323 also assists as Advisors.

Cost – There is no cost for attendance at Sheriff Webre’s Summer Camp.  The only money allowed with campers is a maximum of $10 in quarters to purchase soft drinks with meals.  All lodging, meals, and transportation costs are covered by the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office.
