Child Fingerprints –
The Sheriff’s Office welcomes requests from schools,
hospitals, stores, clubs (like Boy Scouts and Girl

that would like the Explorers to provide this free
service to the public. Organizations or businesses
wanting this service can contact Sgt. Day to make a
request and schedule a date and time. We do not

Child I.D. Program –
This program currently consists of taking
fingerprints and a DNA swab of each child. This is
done on a Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office Child
I.D. form which is then given to the parents of that
child for safe keeping. Contact Sgt. Day at
985-532-4320 or
