The Communications Section stands as the centralized point of communications for the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office. Communications deputies receive "Calls for Service" and dispatch officers as needed. Email or call (985) 532-2255. For emergencies, dial 911.

The Water Patrol Section is responsible for search and rescue marine operations for stranded or missing boaters, as well as enforcing boating safety and some wildlife and fisheries violations. They keep our local waters safe for boating and fishing. Email or call (985) 632-5843.

The School Services Section provides School Resource Officers, PASS Officers and DARE Officers to the Lafourche Parish School System to assist with drug awareness, discipline problems and provide a safe environment for students and teachers. Email or call (985) 532-4350.

Our Animal Control deputies respond to call of animal complaints - our most common call for service in Lafourche Parish. Their goal is to humanely capture animals who are classified as stray animals, or those who are observed to be threat to the residents of Lafourche Parish. While they often handle stray dogs and cats, they are also called to handle alligators, snakes, racoons, and other wild animals that call South Louisiana home. Email or call (985) 532-4350.

The Reserves and Youth Services Section is comprised of Reserve Deputies volunteers that provide assistance to the Patrol Division, Court Division and Firing Range serving as Range Safety Officers. Email or call (985) 532-4327.
