Message from the Sheriff:  

I am grateful to the Citizens of Lafourche Parish for entrusting the Office of Sheriff to me for the last fourteen years.  I embrace the opportunity to serve my parish and I remain committed to bringing a high level of professionalism, accountability and integrity to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Our motto, "Whatever It Takes", exemplifies the willingness, dedication, and sacrifice of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office to go to any and all lengths to ensure the security of the citizens of Lafourche Parish.

Our mission is to enhance and maintain a safe and peaceful community which promotes individual, educational, economic, social, business, and governmental interests and ensures the highest quality of life for our citizens, visitors, and future generations.

In order to achieve our mission, my staff and I continually seek and promote education, training and technical advances to better serve our community.  I am proud of the performance and dedication of the Sheriff’s Office employees who protect the citizens and properties in Lafourche Parish on a daily basis.  In addition, I am boastful of the performance of our employees in the face of two catastrophic storms, Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita.
