CANDLELIGHT VIGIL ON OCTOBER 16
We want to thank everyone who joined us on Wednesday, October 16 as we remembered the victims and honored the survivors of Domestic Violence during a Candlelight Vigil at the Reservoir in Thibodaux. Wednesday, October 16 was also proclaimed "Paint the Parish Purple Day" in Lafourche Parish as we take a stand against Domestic Violence.

WHY PURPLE?
The color purple represents the courage, survival, honor and dedication to ending domestic violence.  It has a long history of being used as a symbol for seeking justice. The display of purple throughout our parish conveys the powerful message that there is no place for domestic violence in our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, or schools.
