Two Arrested in Connection to Thibodaux Drive-by Shooting in MayLafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reported two Thibodaux woman have been arrested for their role in a drive-by shooting that occurred at a Thibodaux residence in May. No one was injured in the shooting, and only one projectile actually entered the interior of the home. Jessie Andre (W/F, D.O.B. 02/28/92) of 2467 Pineridge Street and Daymin Benoit (W/F, D.O.B. 01/17/95) of 106 St. Peter Street were arrested Thursday, June 7 following an investigation into the incident.

At around 11:30 P.M. on Tuesday, May 15, deputies responded to a call at a residence on Primrose Drive in reference to a complaint of shots having been fired. Through investigation at the scene, deputies found two holes on the side of the home where projectiles had penetrated the exterior walls. Deputies determined that an unknown subject or subjects had fired two rounds at the home and immediately fled the scene.

Through investigation, deputies learned that Andre, Benoit had traveled to Primrose Street after deciding to “shoot up” the home of Benoit’s ex-boyfriend. Both were arrested Thursday and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux. They were each booked with Assault by Drive-By Shooting and Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property. They were both released Thursday after posting $50,000.00 bond each as had been set by Judge F. Hugh Larose. Detectives indicate this case is still under investigation.
