DAREN KITCHEN: Daren Kitchen (B/M, D.O.B. 11/24/67) of 742 Highway 304 in Thibodaux was arrested in Terrebonne Parish on Thursday, July 5 on warrants from Lafourche Parish stemming from an incident that occurred on earlier this week. On July 2, while a woman was at her LA Highway 304 residence with a male friend, Kitchen drove by the residence. The man and woman immediately left the residence, but Kitchen pursued in his vehicle. Kitchen allegedly accelerated and began ramming his vehicle into the vehicle in which the man and woman were traveling. At one point, both cars driver’s lost control and Kitchen’s car came to rest in a roadside ditch. The other vehicle ended up on a resident’s lawn, and the man and woman drove away from the scene in order to safely contact the Sheriff’s Office. Kitchen fled the scene, but a passenger traveling with him was transported to a local hospital for treatment for injuries suffered during the crash, including a broken leg and arm. Deputies also learned Kitchen had made 42 phone calls to the woman that day, each in violation of a protective order. Warrants were issued for Kitchen’s arrest following the incident, and he was arrested in Terrebonne Parish on Thursday. Kitchen was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux where he was booked as per the warrants on 42 counts of violation of protective orders, aggravated second degree battery, aggravated criminal damage to property, hit and run, and reckless operation. He is currently being held in lieu of $295,000 bond.
ANDREA WILLIAMS: On July 5, agents with the Lafourche Parish Drug Task Force were on Oakley Street in Thibodaux when they witnessed a vehicle fail to use a turn signal before initiating a turn. Agents initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver. Agents identified the driver as Andrea Williams (B/F, D.O.B. 07/12/83) of 316 North 13th Street in Thibodaux, and they discovered she had warrants for her arrest in Lafourche Parish and the City of Thibodaux. Agents searched Williams and located on her person a small plastic bag containing suspected crack cocaine, another small bag containing suspected marijuana, and a glass pipe commonly used to smoke crack cocaine. A preliminary field test of the suspected crack cocaine yielded a positive result for the presence of cocaine. Williams was arrested on three warrants for contempt of court and additionally charged with possession of marijuana (2nd offense), possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to use a turn signal. She was also booked as a Fugitive of Terrebonne Parish. She remains at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux where she is being held in lieu of $61,050 bond as well as an additional $250 in fines and costs.
