Suspect Sought in Home Invasion - Sgt. Lesley Hill Peters
 
Sheriff Craig Webre is asking for the public’s help in solving an overnight home invasion and robbery in Thibodaux. Deputies were called to an apartment at 800 Winder Road shortly before 8:00 PM. There a 43-year old female described answering a knock at her door and when she did a black male forced his way inside, pushing her to the floor, punching her in the had and face.

As he attacked, the man demanded money and the female directed him to take $130.00 from her purse. Money in hand, he fled the scene in a silver Impala with a spoiler, tinted windows and chrome rims. The victim refused medical treatment for what was deemed minor injuries. Anyone with information that could lead detectives to an arrest in this case is asked to call Lafourche Crimestoppers at 1-800-SHERIFF. You don’t have to give your name and could be eligible for up to a $1,000 reward.
