Larose Man Arrested for Sex Offenses with Two Juveniles - by Dty. Brennan Matherne, PIO
Sheriff Craig Webre reported the arrest of a Larose man accused of inappropriate touching and behavior with two juveniles. Dudley Dantin (I/M, DOB 12/30/52) of 135 Louis St. in Larose was arrested Thursday, June 28 following an investigation into the matter.
On June 27, 2012, deputies responded to a Larose residence in reference to the possible molestation of two juveniles. Through investigation, detectives learned Dantin had touched the two juvenile victims inappropriately on numerous occasions and had warned the victims not to tell anyone. One of the victims was under the age of 13 years.
Dantin was placed under arrest for Sexual Battery of a Child under the Age of 13 and Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. He was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux where he remains in lieu of $50,000 bond as set by Judge John Leblanc. Dantin has no prior criminal history.
Information concerning the victims’ age and gender is being withheld due to the nature of the offenses.
