Four Charged in Larose Brawl - Sgt. Lesley Hill Peters

Four Charged in Larose BrawlFour people are in the Lafourche Parish Detention Center following a fight involving two by fours in a gas station parking lot Monday night. Deputies were dispatched first to 388 Sandras St. in Larose, then to Go-Bears in Larose around 5:30 PM Monday evening. When they arrived they found two men and a woman on the ground, covered in blood and suffering from head injuries.

The victims stated three to four Asian males and a female jumped them with two by four pieces of wood then jumped into a blue truck and fled to Sandras Street. Deputies then found the truck at 388 Sandras Lane where they made contact with Lien Tran (A/F, DOB 3/4/1984, 388 Sandras St, Larose), Chio Saeteun (A/M, DOB 11/18/1982, 388 Sandras St, Larose), Tuan Tran (A/M, DOB 7/20/1976, 388 Sandras St, Larose) and Anh Tran (A/M, DOB 2/6/1987, 388 Sandras St, Larose).

Tuan Tran said he had been urinating in the front yard of his home when the victims drove past advising him to “put it back in his pants”. One of the men exited the vehicle and began exchanging words and fighting with Tran, then returned to the vehicle and drove away to Go-Bears. Tuan, Lien and Anh Tran and Saeteun admitted following the victims to Go-Bears and continuing the fight by beating the trio with two by fours.

While the three victims did engage in the fight, the investigation determined they were defensive not aggressive actions so they were not charged. Anh and Lien Tran are charged with aggravated second degree battery (R.S. 14:34.7). Chio Saeteun is also charged with aggravated second degree battery. Judge Jerome Barbera set their bonds at $15,000 each. Tuan Tran is charged with aggravated second degree battery, obscenity (R.S. 14:106) and an outstanding warrant for failing to appear on traffic charges. Judge Barbera set his bond at $16,000. All four remain in the Lafourche Parish Detention Center at this time.

The victims were all treated and released at Our Lady of the Sea Hospital.
