Case of Road Rage Lands Cut Off Man in JailSheriff Craig Webre announced a Cut Off man is being held in the Lafourche Parish Detention Center following a case of road rage. Around 1:30 PM Monday, an Illinois man told deputies he was pulling on to LA 3235 from LA 3161, travelling northbound, when a Ford F150 driven by John Lebouef (W/M, DOB 5/3/1982, 107 W. 72nd Street, Cut Off) cut him off.

The complainant said Lebouef became agitated, screaming profanity and making obscene gestures toward him. The complainant said Lebouef forced his vehicle off the road, then Lebouef came up to him punching him three to four times in the face. Deputies located Lebouef and his vehicle at a nearby business. Lebouef admitted exchanging words with the other driver. While being placed under arrest for simple battery (R.S. 14:35) deputies discovered an outstanding warrant for Lebouef for violating a protective order (R.S. 14:79 B (1) in August of 2009.
