Crime prevention is a team effort between law enforcement agencies and the community.  The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office employs a pro-active approach to cultivate the team effort by promoting Community Based Policing through recruiting and training Reserve Officers.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office recognizes that our youth are in a dynamic and arduous time of life, during which encouragement, education and guidance from adults and peers can foster positive youth development.  With that in mind, the Sheriff’s Office offers youth programs to school children, teenagers and young adults geared to achieve productive results.
