Pair of Thibodaux Teens Charged in Pump Station Burglary

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reported the arrest of two teenage males from Thibodaux for burglarizing a Lafourche Parish pumping station last month. Austin Leger (W/M, D.O.B. 04/11/93) of 838 Brule Guillot Road and Seth Lemmon (W/M, D.O.B. 03/01/93) of 800 Winder Road East (Apt. 38) were arrested on multiple counts of Simple Burglary following an investigation into the incident at Morvant Pump Station on Brule Guillot Road in Thibodaux.

The burglary was reported on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, when workers discovered hundreds of gallons of diesel fuel were missing from a storage tank outside the station. Oil and antifreeze had also been siphoned from drums inside the station.

Through investigation, detectives identified Leger and Lemmon as possible suspects in the burglary and brought both in for questioning. During separate interviews, both admitted to taking the diesel fuel from the pump station, returning multiple times for additional fuel. Each was booked with multiple counts of Simple Burglary, one count for each instance they took fuel from the pump station.

Lemmon was charged with two (2) counts of Simple Burglary and is being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux in lieu of $5,000.00 bond. Leger was charged with eight (8) counts of Simple Burglary and has been released from the Detention Center after posting $5,000.00 bond.

Detectives say the investigation into this incident is continuing, and Leger and Lemmon are possible suspects in several other crimes similar in nature.
