Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reported a Larose man faces another charge of sexual battery after being arrested inappropriate touching and behavior with two juveniles in June. Dudley Dantin (I/M, D.O.B. 12/30/52) of 135 Louis St. in Larose was charged with an additional count of sexual battery on August 10 after detectives located another possible victim.
On June 27, 2012, deputies responded to a Larose residence in reference to the possible molestation of two juveniles. Through investigation, detectives learned Dantin had allegedly touched the two juvenile victims inappropriately on numerous occasions and had warned the victims not to tell anyone. One of the victims was under the age of 13 years. Detectives arrested Dantin the next day following an investigation and he was charged with sexual battery of a child under the age of 13 and indecent behavior with a juvenile.
As detectives continued their investigation into Dantins case, they located another possible victim under the age of 13. Information detectives gathered from that case led to Dantin being charged with an additional count of sexual battery of a child under the age of 13.
Dantin was already being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux. His bond is now set at $100,000 after being booked on the additional charge. Dantin had no criminal history prior to his arrest on June 28.
Details regarding the victims ages and genders are being withheld due to the nature of the offenses.
