Crime Stoppers Tip Makes for One “Unhappy Easter”

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre reported an anonymous tip led authorities to arrest a Cut Off man wanted for two contempt warrants totaling $150,000 in bond amounts. Randy Easter (W/M, D.O.B. 07/19/63) of 198 Orange Street was arrested Friday, March 29 in Las Vegas, Nevada, after an anonymous tip provided his location.

An anonymous tip provided via Bayou Region Crime Stoppers on Monday, March 25 stated Easter was spotted in Las Vegas, Nevada. After receiving the information, Lafourche deputies contacted officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department who began investigating the information. Officers confirmed Easter’s location and arrested him on Friday, March 29.

Easter is currently awaiting extradition back to Louisiana. His bond will be set as per warrants at $150,000. Easter was scheduled to appear for a pre-trial hearing on March 18 for charges of DWI (4th offense) and communicating false information of planned arson. He was arrested on the fourth DWI charge on July 29, 2011, and for the latter charge on January 8, 2013.
