Thibodaux Man Charged with Theft and Battery of the Infirm

Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of Jordon Molaison (age 21) of Thibodaux on Friday, January 1. Just after 12:30 a.m. on Monday, December 28, deputies responded to a disturbance at Molaison’s residence on Highway 304 in Thibodaux. Upon arrival, deputies learned Molaison had arrived at the residence earlier with several other individuals and a verbal altercation ensued between Molaison and an older female at the residence. During the argument, Molaison allegedly grabbed the woman by her wrist and began shaking her in an aggressive manner, eventually throwing her aside. He then stole the woman’s cell phone and exited the residence. The woman suffered several bruises and a cut during the incident and was treated by EMTs at the scene. Deputies made contact with Molaison by telephone, but Molaison refused to speak with deputies and stated he would not return the woman’s cell phone. Deputies then obtained warrants for Molaison’s arrest. Then on Friday afternoon, January 1, deputies learned Molaison was at a location on Choctaw Road. Deputies responded and arrested him without incident. He was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux. He is charged with Felony Theft in the incident, and he is also charged with Simple Battery of the Infirm due to the age of the victim. He was released on Monday, January 4 after posting $6,000 bond.
