Female Suspect Caught Stealing Birdhouse from Gray Residence

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the theft of a birdhouse from a Gray residence last week.

On the morning of Monday, February 8, deputies responded to a residence in the 300 block of Cindy Lane in Gray. Upon arrival, deputies learned a birdhouse had been stolen from the front yard of the residence. The victim described it as a bronze-colored, “church-style” birdhouse with a decorative metal roof and a white post. Deputies obtained surveillance footage of theft which showed an unknown female subject exit a sedan, enter onto the victim’s property, and remove the birdhouse. The suspect then returned to the vehicle and fled the scene.
