Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of Easton Serigny (age 50) of Cut Off on Friday, March 4. At around 3:45 a.m. on Friday, deputies were dispatched to a Galliano truck stop in reference to a man sleeping inside his vehicle parked in the middle of the truck stop entrance. Upon arrival, deputies noticed the man was sleeping with his foot on the accelerator and knocked on the driver’s door to get his attention. After a few moments, the man awoke and opened the door. Deputies identified the man as Easton Serigny, and he admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to driving the vehicle. Deputies initiated a field sobriety test on which Serigny performed poorly. A breathalyzer test showed Serigny to have a blood alcohol content of 0.132g%. Serigny was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux and charged with DWI (3rd Offense). He was released Friday evening after posting $5,000 bond.
