Lockport Man Wanted for 2015 Attempted Murder at His Home Surrenders

Sheriff Craig Webre announced a Lockport man who was wanted for attempted murder in connection with a shooting on March 2, 2015, has surrendered. Tony Clark (age 34) turned himself over to authorities on Tuesday and confessed to his involvement in the crime.

As previously released, just after 10:15 a.m. on March 2, 2015, deputies responded to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 200 block of East Lafourche Street in Lockport. Upon arrival, deputies noticed the door to the residence was ajar, and they could see blood inside the residence. Deputies made entry and found bullet casings inside the residence, but no one was present. Through investigation at the scene, deputies determined Clark to be the suspected shooter. They learned Clark and the victim had been arguing when Clark left the residence and returned a short time later with a firearm. Clark fired multiple shots, one of which struck the victim in the stomach. They also learned the victim, who resided at the same residence with Clark, had checked in to an emergency room at a nearby hospital. Following an investigation at the scene, detectives obtained a warrant for Clark’s arrest for the charge of Attempted Second Degree Murder.

On Tuesday, May 3, Clark made contact with detectives in reference to the warrant. During questioning, Clark admitted to his role in the shooting incident and told detectives he had been hiding in Texas. He was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux and booked on the aforementioned warrant. His bond is set at $250,000.
