Deputies Arrest Cut Off Man Wanted for Auto Theft and Failing to Appear in Court for Drug Distribution Charges

Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of Todd Guilbeau (age 38) of Cut Off on Wednesday, June 8. In May 2016, deputies responded to a call of a stolen pickup truck in Galliano. The  theft had had occurred sometime between the afternoon of Monday, May 9 and the morning of Wednesday, May 11. Then on Wednesday evening, deputies located the truck which had been abandoned on West 171st Street in Galliano. Detectives processed the scene, and Todd Guilbeau was later determined to be the suspect in the auto theft. Then on May 17, 2016, Guilbeau failed to appear in court for pre-trial for several charges including narcotics distribution. Warrants were issued for Guilbeau’s arrest for Theft of a Motor Vehicle and four counts of Contempt of Court. On Wednesday, June 8, narcotics agents made contact with Guilbeau in Cut Off and he was taken into custody without incident. Guilbeau was then transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center and booked accordingly on the aforementioned warrants. His bond is set at $325,000.
