Agents Discover Passenger with Meth and Cocaine During Traffic Stop

Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of Jordan Landry (age 19) of Lockport on Friday, September 16. Agents of the Lafourche Parish Drug Task Force initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on LA Highway 654 in Gheens. While speaking to the driver, agents asked the passengers for their names as well. One of the passengers, later identified as Jordan Landry, gave what was later determined to be a false name. Agents discovered Landry’s true identity and learned he had an active warrant for Contempt of Court in the Town of Golden Meadow. Agents discovered Landry to have approximately 23.4 grams of suspected methamphetamine and approximately 2.1 grams of suspected cocaine in his possession. Landry placed under arrest and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux where he was booked with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine and Methamphetamine and Resisting an Officer. He was also booked on the outstanding warrant for Golden Meadow City Court. He was released after posting $20,800 bond.
