UPDATE: Video and New Details in Casino Armed Robbery

Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a suspect wanted in reference to an armed robbery which occurred last week at a casino in Gray.

At around 3:15 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, deputies were dispatched to Big Wheels Travel Center and Casino on LA Highway 316 in reference to an armed robbery which had just occurred. Upon arrival, deputies learned an unidentified male subject entered the casino and immediately disarmed the security guard. He then proceeded to force the guard and a casino worker to an office area and demanded money. After obtaining the money, the suspect fled the scene after stealing several thousand dollars, as well as the security guard’s firearm.

Through investigation, detectives have obtained video of the incident. Witnesses describe the suspect as a male subject who is around 5’6” to 5’8” in height and weighing between 300 and 350 pounds. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, black and white shoes, a brown hat, and a black backpack which appeared to have been made to carry a laptop computer.
