Twelve Firearms Stolen from Building in Raceland

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the theft of twelve firearms from a Raceland property.

On Sunday morning, detectives opened an investigation after a Raceland man reported returning to his property on LA Highway 182 to find several firearms were missing from a building on the property. In all, nine handguns and three shotguns had been stolen from the building. Detectives learned the theft likely occurred at some point during the past two weeks.

Anyone who may have any information on this case is asked to submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers Bayou Region by phone at 1-800-743-7433 or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org. Tips can also be submitted using the P3 Tips app on your mobile device. Tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 in cash if the information leads to an arrest.
